THE CALL: Having Intentional Conversations

This week on the Go Get It Podcast, Hunter and Austin share a monthly ritual that they share together named THE CALL, and discuss the value of structuring time for intentional conversations with the people you are closest to in life.

Your #GoGetItChallenge of the week: Start your own CALL with the people you are on this journey of life with!

PROMPT 1

  • Choose the top 10 Values you live by… in order”

PROMPT 2

  • What is your biggest insecurity these days?
  • What is something that is at the core of your motivation right now? Or what is something that got you really inspired lately? A conversation you had. Something you learned. A vision of your future. Anything like that.
  • What’s a value you want to embody so much that the people you come into contact with everyday, or the people you coach, can’t help but adopt? Why?

PROMPT 3

  • Choose one behavior that you have changed for the in the past 2 months.
  • Identify what that behavior looked like before you made the change.
  • Identify what you were gaining from this original behavior before you made the change. (how were you benefitting from it in your life)
  • Identify if there were any people or relationships perpetuating that behavior.

After the change

  • Identify what shifted you to make the change.
  • Identify the reward and what you have gained from making that change when you did.
  • How would your life be different if you had not made that change at all?

PROMPT 4:

  • Who is somebody that believed in you somewhere along the way? Preferably outside of immediate family. Maybe someone who saw something in you that others didn’t or opened doors for you unexpectedly. What does that mean to you now and what did it mean at the time? And as a bonus, who do you believe in that maybe others don’t?

PROMPT 5:

  • Note somebody who made an impact(or the biggest impact) on your life this past month and how. As well as somebody you impacted the most and how.
  • What are 2 “Shoulds” that you will turn into “Musts”. And what are you most looking forward to this month and why.
