This week we are joined by world class app developer and designer Dominique Yahyavi for a conversation about bending the rules and challenging the status quo as a way to stand out and pursue our ambitions.
Dominique is a former Stanford soccer player turned one of the most successful app developers in the business. After stints working at Apple, Facebook, and IDEO, Dominique went on to found Dayworks, creating his own iPhone apps. One of those is Spark Camera, an app that makes it easy to capture, edit and share your videos with just a few taps. Spark has over 6 million creators, was named by Apple as one of its apps of the year in 2019, won an Apple editor’s choice, and earned an International Design Excellence Award. Recently, Dominique also cofounded Pixelcut, which is a graphic design app that allows you to remove the background on images and create professional looking product photography in seconds. In less than one year, Dom and his team have made Pixelcut one of the most popular apps on the App Store used by millions of creators and small businesses.
